Installing iStat Menus #
To install iStat Menus, download the ZIP archive from the iStat Menus product page. Once it has downloaded, double-click the ZIP file to unarchive it, if required. An icon called “iStat Menus” should appear. Double-click the icon to run the app and follow any prompts to install iStat Menus’ additional components.

IStat Menus 6.0 costs $18 for a single license with 6 months of weather data ($25 for a family pack that can be installed on up to five Macs), and you can upgrade from iStat Menus 3, 4, or 5 for $9.99 ($14.99 for the family pack). ($18 new, $9.99 upgrade, 20.3 MB, release notes, 10.11+). Use iStat Menus for system monitoring. If you want a more advanced Activity Monitor alternative, try iStat Menus. It will show “Apps using significant energy” right in your menu bar. What’s more, the app can monitor a whole lot of different indicators — from CPU to disk usage to memory load. By default, iStat Menus installs for all users. If you would like iStat Menus to only be available for the current user, please uncheck the “Install for all users” option before clicking Install.
Uninstalling iStat Menus #
To uninstall iStat Menus, please choose iStat Menus › Uninstall from the menubar, then click Uninstall. This works, even if your trial period is over.
If you have already manually deleted iStat Menus, then please download it again and run the uninstaller.

Reinstalling iStat Menus may help fix some problems. To reinstall iStat Menus, please choose iStat Menus › Reinstall from the menubar.
